Monthly Special Collections
As part of our ongoing effort to help build a world of justice, equity, and compassion, the Unitarian Universalist Church of Akron takes a monthly special collection during the Sunday morning worship service to benefit organization engaged in work that supports our principles and values either locally or globally. When collections are taken for Akron-area organizations, a UUCA Trust designated to support local social justice work provides a matching grant.
Recent special collections have benefitted Violet’s Cupboard, the Interfaith Hospitality Network, and the UUA-UUSC Haitian Earthquake Relief Fund.
